To celebrate the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April Ladies Fishing is holding a fishing event on the River Wear for those ladies who don’t want to sit in front of the TV, and still be part of the royal wedding festival.

In true Royal style we thought we’d explain the day in the following way: Procession, Service and Reception

Gathering on the bank side at 9.30 in waders armed with either your single or double handed rod (no need for posh frocks or ball gowns !) ladies have the opportunity to fish for brown trout or salmon under the expert guidance of our Two Best Men, Cliff Johnston and Paul Little.

11am in our royal carriage (cliffs camper van) you can watch the ceremony over coffee and biscuit cake from the wedding cake makers McVitie’s.

Lunch will be at 1pm, a regal affair hosted by our very own queen of catering, including wine from the loyal wine supplier Martavine. (sadly Marta can’t make the event as she is providing wine at another royal garden party!)

Afternoon is spent enjoying fishing the River Wear.
